He has collaborated with supporters’ groups regarding the proposed Football Governance Bill, including giving oral evidence before a parliamentary committee and drafting suggested changes to the Bill to advocate for reforms in the sport. Simon advised the Professional Golfers’ Association in its negotiations relating to the restructuring of the ownership and exploitation of rights held by the Ryder Cup Europe LLP. Simon has led advice to a prospective purchaser of an EFL football club and has advised various EFL clubs on their regulatory requirements, including the application of the EFL Owners and Directors Test and their other ownership reporting requirements. Simon also advised the Commonwealth Games Federation in its discussions around changes to its board of directors and restructuring its joint venture agreements and arrangements.
