Luca Smacchia is an Italian trainee lawyer, and graduated in 2012 from the University of Bari, with a thesis entitled The Court of Arbitration for Sport.

He holds an LL.M. in International Sports Law in 2013 at Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economics (ISDE) in Madrid

Previously an intern at Cravo Pastl and Balbuena Advogados in Porto Alegre (Brazil), he is now is working in Bologna, Italy, at Studio Legale Grassani Urbinati & Assocati specialized in sports law.
