Joachim Piotrowski

Joachim is a Senior Associate in the Competition team. He advises clients on a range of competition law matters, including merger control, foreign direct investment, regulatory compliance and investigations. He has a keen interest in the application of competition law in professional sport and is a member of Osborne Clarke's Sport Group. 

Joachim has published a number of sport law articles as well as provided expert commentary for a number of external titles including LawInSport, OffThePitch and a leading Swedish daily newspaper Dagens Nyheter. As a competition lawyer he has a deep understanding of the various issues surrounding the ECJ judgment in the European Super League case - the most significant sports-related case in years.

Joachim is also pursuing a PhD in Competition law with his thesis focusing on its intersectionality with the widely defined area of Sport law.
