John is a corporate lawyer, with experience advising on transactions in the sports sector. He has advised a wide range of clients including the owners of a Premiership Rugby club, buyers and sellers of football clubs in the Championship and below, as well as professional basketball teams.
John’s experience in the sports sector covers a full range of corporate transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, equity investments and shareholders agreements, club re-organisations and regulatory advice. Examples of where John has supported clients include advising on the purchase of Gloucester Rugby Club at various stages between 2007 and 2022.
