A litigator and reputation management lawyer, Kath advises on a wide range of commercial and contractual disputes, provides defamation advice (libel and slander), and supports clients with crisis and reputation management.
She provides discreet advice to help clubs, owners and agents to resolve disputes, as well as working with athletes in relation to reputation management and defamation issues, including training on defamation risks arising from the use of social media etc.
Kath recognises that sport, as a sector, attracts significant public interest and media scrutiny, and brings her specialist skills and experience to help individuals and clubs across the sector with their personal and corporate brand.
Kath has specific experience in football, most recently acting for Renhe Sports Management Co Ltd in High Court litigation following aborted negotiations for the sale of Reading Football Club to Redwood Holdings; culminating in a new sale process between the parties which saw the sale of the Club to Redwood.
