Matthew Brady

Matt sits within our Commercial Dispute Resolution with a specialty on providing commercial advice in complex projects with a high financial value. With a particular eye on also assisting the public procurement sector, Matt is perfectly placed to advice sport sector clients on any difficulties in relation to contracts / projects that are procured. Matt also has experience in advising grassroots sporting clubs (with a strong focus on football, rugby and golf) in relation to contract disputes, outstanding payments and licencing / governance issues. Matt is also well placed to advise clubs in relation to any defamatory claims and reputational management issues.

In order to bring those together in the golfing world, Matt has jointly set up and runs "Golf in the City" which is a North-East based networking group that currently has around 95 members. In his spare time, Matt is an avid golfer and has run his golf club's junior team for the last 11 years, picking up league and county titles along the way. This has been done alongside sitting on the Junior Committee for Durham County Golf Union.
