On February 22, 2022, the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) (the national governing body for soccer in the United States), announced the settlement of its long-running equal pay dispute with the United States Women’s National Team (the USWNT). The settlement was touted as a landmark achievement for women seeking equal pay in sport.
