Sports Law Arbitration Moot (SLAM) Application Deadline Extended To 31 January 2023

Sports Law Arbitration Moot (SLAM) Competition Finals Hosted By CAS

SLAM is a unique initiative, with the objective of providing a world-class moot competition that promotes greater knowledge of the values and rules of international sports arbitration, a key dispute resolution mechanism in the sector. With the finals being held at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

We are proud to announce that we have over 40 teams registered for the global sports law moot competition, SLAM. We have been inundated with requests for an extension to the registration deadline to allow interested students and universities time to submit their entries.

LawInSport’s CEO, Sean Cottrell, said “It is heartwarming to see students being so enthusiastic about the sports law sector. With the semi-finals and finals being hosted at the Court of Arbitration for Sport, it is a great opportunity for students to experience sports dispute resolution. Therefore, we are going to extend the timeline further in order to allow students some more time to form their team and register for the competition.”

The deadline for registrations for SLAM has been extended till 09 January 2023. For other changes to the timeline of the competition, please see below.
