Meet our speakers:

Kevin Carpenter, Head of Integrity, International Table Tennis Federation & Principal, Captivate Legal & Sports Solution. Kevin specialises in integrity, regulatory, governance and disciplinary matters. His expertise and knowledge has led him to be engaged by major private and public bodies, including the IOC, FIFA, the Council of Europe, INTERPOL and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), as well as making regular appearances internationally delivering presentations and commenting in the media on sports law issues.

Alistair McHenry, Partner & Head of Sport, Tyr Law. Alistair is a member of the Judicial Panel of the Lawn Tennis Association, Vice-Chair of the Appeals Panel of Table Tennis England, Prem Rugby’s Financial Monitoring Panel, Judicial Officer of the Welsh Rugby Union and the Sport Resolutions’ safeguarding case management programme, and is a member of Basketball England’s Disciplinary Panel.

Louis Weston, Barrister, Outer Temple Chambers. Louis was the lead writer of the UNODC/IOC’s Practical Guide to the Prosecution of cases of match fixing and match manipulation. He is a member of the FA’s Judicial Panel and Anti-Corruption Panel, the IBA’s dispute resolution chamber, British Gymnastics’ Independent Case Panel and Sports Resolutions and Sport Disputes Ireland’s arbitral panel and its pro-bono group. He was a member of the ICC’s Independent Oversight Group of the ICC’s anti-corruption unit for 6 years. He has appeared in many of the leading cases in the UK involving corruption in sport in the UK, Ireland, the Middle East and Asia across a range of sports including Horseracing, Snooker, Badminton, Rugby, Darts, Cricket, Golf, Gymnastics, and Greyhound Racing.

Danielle Sharkey, Senior Associate, Wiggin (Moderator). Danielle's worked for eight years as in-house counsel at the British Horseracing Authority and was Head of Regulation at the International Cricket Council (on secondment). Danielle advised sports organisations on regulatory rules and procedures, integrity and anti-doping issues, safeguarding and athlete welfare, both at national and international level.
