Sport Integrity Australia and Football Australia have today confirmed the details of an independent complaints and reports handling, investigation, and disciplinary framework.
Under the framework, Sport Integrity Australia will consider complaints and reports on a range of allegations including abuse, bullying, child abuse, child grooming, endangering the safety of a child, harassment, sexual misconduct, unlawful discrimination, victimisation, and vilification at the elite levels of Australian football.
Set out below is an update on the key topics discussed at our Council meeting which took place on Thursday 21 October.

A leaked email sent to WTA players has said that unvaccinated players may be able to travel to the country and compete after 14 days quarantine, contradicting advice from the Australian government.
Immigration minister Alex Hawke recently said unvaccinated players and those who would not reveal their vaccination status would not be allowed to enter Australia and therefore unable to compete in the Australian Open, the state of Victoria, where the tournament takes place, requires all professional athletes to be vaccinated to compete.

The Q3 2021 total represents a 14% decrease compared to Q3 2020, which saw 76 alerts. The Q3 2021 alerts covered tennis (23 cases), football (18), table tennis (17), esports (2) and one each in handball, cricket, squash, basketball and futsal. From a geographical perspective, Europe accounted for nearly 60% of all alerts reported during Q3, followed by Asia with 15% and Africa 12%.

The leadership of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has highlighted the need to build further capacity to strengthen anti-doping in Central and West Asia, but also in all parts of the world, in addition to encouraging further engagement and empowerment of athletes in the fight against doping, at a virtual forum attended today by Ministers for Sport and other Government representatives from across Central and West Asia.
Our Board has unanimously recommended changes to its own structure to increase its overall independence. This was today approved by both our Council and Shareholders.
The new proposals will result in the appointment of two further independent Non-Executive Directors, increasing the current Board from 10 to 12 people. The new Board would therefore comprise of the Independent Chair, The FA CEO, four Independent Non-Executive Directors, three National Game Representatives and three Professional Game Representatives.

October 15, 2021 (Brooklyn, N.Y.) - The Premier Hockey Federation today announced an updated Transgender and Non-Binary Inclusion Policy that is effective immediately for the 2021-22 season. The federation’s policy was enhanced with consultation from Athlete Ally, a non-profit LGBTQI+ athletic advocacy group focused on making athletic communities more inclusive and less discriminatory, and Chris Mosier, a transgender hall of fame triathlete, All-American duathlete, 6-time member of Team USA, and the founder of TransAthlete.com.
The 65-year-old succeeds Leo Windtner, who has stepped down after 12 years in office. Windtner now takes the position of ÖFB honorary president.

Broken down into several categories, the List identifies which substances and methods are prohibited at all times, in-competition only, and within specific sports.

Men’s and women’s professional road cycling: 48 teams have submitted required documents for registration in 2022
Women’s first division road teams and men’s first and second division road teams wishing to be registered for the 2022 season must submit their registration file to the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI).
