Concacaf fine the Canadian Soccer Association for breaching security protocols for accredited delegation officials following Gold Cup incidents
Miami, FL – Following the opening of a disciplinary case and a thorough review of documentation and evidence collected during its investigation—and in accordance with the competition regulations and the Concacaf Disciplinary Code—the Concacaf Disciplinary Committee has issued a decision for the reported incidents that occurred during the 2025 Gold Cup match between Canada and Honduras on June 17, 2025.
The Disciplinary Committee has fined the Canadian Soccer Association (CSA) an undisclosed amount for breaching security protocols for accredited delegation officials and for failing to comply with anti-doping procedures by not providing the required representative for the halftime doping control draw.
Additionally, the Disciplinary Committee found no clear evidence that Jesse Marsch disregarded the competition’s rules regarding suspended match officials, therefore, he has been cleared of any wrongdoing.
Concacaf recognizes the CSA’s constructive engagement in the Disciplinary Committee’s investigation and reaffirms its commitment to delivering a world-class tournament for all stakeholders involved.
