My experience as a LawInSport Mentee, Charlie Kendrick, and Q&A with mentor Beth French, Commercial Legal Counsel, FIFA

Last September, after receiving the exciting news that I would be enrolled into LawInSport’s Mentoring Scheme comprising a group of 46 mentees worldwide, I was very much excited by the prospect of meeting new people and attaining knowledge from others in the industry. Having learnt of the Mentoring Scheme from meeting previous mentees at LawInSport conferences, I was prepared for an interesting year ahead outside of my day-to-day working life.
This article tells of the various experiences I encountered in LawInSport’s Mentoring Scheme 2022/23. I discuss what I learnt from the Scheme and my Mentor, as well as providing an insight into the interesting perspectives of Beth French in her role as a Commercial Legal Counsel at FIFA.
