Ranmore Law
Ranmore Law is a specialist sports law practice that was established in 2023. It has rapidly developed a significant client base with a focus on supporting National Governing Bodies and clubs across a range of issues including governance, safeguarding, disputes and commercial growth. With significant experience of working in-house the firm focuses on holistic support and working closely with Boards and Executive teams. It also specialises in undertaking independent investigations for sports organisations.
The firm also advises athletes, with a particular focus on agent agreements and commercial contracts and works closely with a number of representative bodies to support athletes, especially those in the early stages of their careers.
Founder and Director John Finlay was previously General Counsel at UK Sport and is currently a member of the FA Safeguarding Review Panel, the LTA Judicial Panel and is also the legal adviser to the Sports Councils Working Group on Safer Sport.
