
Adam Melling
Adam is an Associate in the employment team at Walker Morris. He specialises in employment law with a focus on the sports sector and football in particular, advising clients on both contentious and non-contentious matters.
His recent and ongoing work includes: managing and advising on significant disciplinary processes involving players and senior members of staff; advising a club on complex discrimination issues and managing the employee relationship; drafting manager and coaching staff contracts for a number of Premier League and Football League clubs and negotiating key provisions for both clubs and individuals, such as termination payments, early termination rights, restrictive covenants and image rights and media clauses; drafting and advising on Esports contracts; and advising on governing body endorsements for the International Sportsperson visa route.
Adam also works closely with sports commercial and corporate colleagues, regularly advising on employee and business protection considerations for the supply of services and employment and immigration issues in corporate transactions.
