Alfonso Rincón, PhD, is associate in Martínez Lage, Allendesalazar & Brokelmann Abogados, a Spanish law firm specialising in EU and Competition Law. He specialises in Spanish and EU competition law, the EU single market and has research experience on the relations between EU Law and Sport.

He chose to come back to law practice after an academic career of 4 years as researcher in EU law at the University Institute for European Studies (Jean Monnet European Centre of Excellence) of the CEU San Pablo University in Madrid. Prior to this academic intermezzo, Alfonso worked at the EC and Competition law department of a Spanish full service law firm. He has obtained the Teaching Assistant Certificate for Doctors (Profesor Ayudante Doctor) from the Spanish Education Ministry and is author of various publications on competition law and EU law.
