Dr Paul Fischer is Salary Partner at the Munich-based sports law firm Martens Lawyers. He has been advising national and international sports federations for many years, in particular on the drafting and interpretation of rules and regulations, the preparation and implementation of board and general meetings, contract negotiations, data protection issues and sports-political affairs. Due to his expertise in the law of associations, Dr Paul Fischer is also regularly asked to chair general assemblies of sports federations.

Paul Fischer has successfully represented clubs, athletes, agents and federations in numerous proceedings before national and international dispute resolution bodies (e.g. FIFA Football Tribunal) and arbitration courts (e.g. CAS) as well as before state courts.

Paul Fischer also has many years of experience as a certified data protection officer for startups and companies in the sports industry. He is experienced in providing solutions for the specific data protection challenges sports federations are facing.

Paul Fischer acts as honorary judge and lectures on "Dispute Resolution in Sport" at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich.
