Laila El Shentenawi

Laila El Shentenawi is a qualified Lawyer in Egypt and a Senior Associate at Al Tamimi in the Arbitration & Dispute Resolution team. Laila's practice focuses on international commercial arbitration, investment arbitration, mediation and sports dispute resolution. Her clients include governments, regional organisations, international organisations, multi-national companies, banks, investors, international athletes and sports bodies.

She worked on cases conducted under the auspices of the ICC, ICSID, CRCICA, DIAC, LCIA and PCA as well as ad-hoc arbitrations conducted in accordance with the UNCITRAL Rules. Laila teaches mediation with the Centre of Effective Dispute Resolution, London and she taught arbitration with the ABA-ROLI. She is a member of several arbitration groups, an accredited mediator by CRDR and a listed mediator with the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration-CRCICA as well as the Investors Dispute Resolution Center affiliated to the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones in Egypt-GAFI.

Laila studied at the Cairo University-Egypt, Bucerius Law School and Otto Beisheim School Of Management-Germany, and Queen Mary University of London-UK.
