Penningtons Manches partner Richard specialises in construction and engineering law and leads the firm’s construction and infrastructure team.

Richard has a professional background in civil engineering prior to his career in law and covers the transport, energy and oil and gas sectors. He also advises on renewable energy projects including AD/biomass and waste alongside energy, PV/solar and off-shore wind as a member of Penningtons Manches' Renewable Energy and Cleantech team.

In addition to his work within the UK, Richard has significant overseas experience and has represented clients on some of the world’s largest projects across a number of overseas jurisdictions.
