Richard is a partner at Reed Smith in London and was the lead lawyer on The Dame Janet Smith Review.

Richard regularly advises corporates, committees and independent bodies on investigations in highly confidential and sensitive situations. Richard is also a very experienced commercial litigator who advises on a very broad range of matters including general contractual disputes, financial industry disputes, professional negligence and insurance. He is a specialist in handling complex multi party claims, having advised on claims involving many hundreds of parties and many thousands of individual claims.
