The relationship between sport and betting has never been so complex; match fixing and manipulation now pose an ever-growing threat to the integrity of sport, with an increasing number of new cases coming under continued investigation. Earlier this year UEFA president Michel Platini cited match fixing as the single biggest threat to the future of football, while European authorities currently suspect that as many as 680 games worldwide have potentially been fixed.
