Julian has over 20 years’ experience in sports related litigation, arbitration, governance and regulation. He has worked across multiple sports such as football, motor racing, athletics, horse racing, cricket, rugby league and tennis, acting for sports clubs and regulatory bodies. Most recently Julian was instructed by the International Tennis Integrity Agency. He deals with high profile cases that attract considerable public interest in the national and international media, and regularly publishes articles on topics including sports law and dispute resolution.

Julian's expertise in sports disputes is well-recognised and he recently won the “Lawyer of the Year” award at the 2024 Legal 500 Northern Powerhouse awards. He has acted on behalf of high-profile clubs and governing bodies, particularly in football matters.
