Adam Melling

Adam specialises in employment law with a focus on the sports sector and football in particular, advising clients on both contentious and non-contentious matters.

His recent and ongoing work includes: managing and advising on significant disciplinary processes involving players and senior members of staff; drafting manager and coaching staff contracts for a number of Premier League and Football League clubs and negotiating key provisions for both clubs and individuals, such as termination payments, early termination rights, restrictive covenants and image rights and media clauses; advising on managerial and other senior footballing staff exits and any ensuing arbitration proceedings; and advising on governing body endorsements for the International Sportsperson visa route.

Adam also works closely with sports commercial and corporate colleagues, regularly advising on employee and business protection considerations for the supply of services and employment and immigration issues in corporate transactions.
