A specialist in licensing and gambling law since 2006, and accredited by the Law Society of Scotland in the field of licensing, Caroline acts for clients across the full licensing spectrum. These include “household name” retailers, celebrity chefs, 5-star hotels, academic institutions, festival and large event teams, international casinos, national bingo/casino operators, major sporting venues (including Murrayfield Stadium; Hampden Park and the Ovo Hydro) and of course individual licensees.

Known in the market for being the “winner of unwinnable licenses”, Caroline is consulted on high level project work and more tricky applications. Clients commend her for her engagement, strategy and knowledge of this specialist sector. Her focus is on delivery, relationships and partnership.

Caroline and her team have assisted football clubs with licensing issues and stadium management with pop-up venues and concert performance licenses. She has also been involved in the emergency license applications for international football friendlies held at neutral venues. Caroline understand the intricacies of licensing law and has creative solutions to resolve the challenges that arise with stadium events and multi-use sports venues.

She is a regular participant on the conferencing circuit, presenting at CLT and the WS Society on Hospitality and Leisure matters and a respected writer on legal matters.
