Priya Palanivel

Priya is a family law specialist with almost 20 years of experience. She deals with the full range of private family law matters but has a particular interest in divorces involving complex business structures, trusts and pensions, frequently with an international element, and a breadth of experience in Anglo-US divorces.

Priya is committed to finding a clear and direct pathway for her clients to navigate their family matter whilst remaining sensitive to the issues at hand, keeping the family and any children front and centre. Priya advises clients outside of the court process, to reach a practical and amicable resolution in a cost-effective and child-focussed way, but where there is no other choice but to instigate court proceedings, she has extensive litigation experience within all levels of the family court system.

Priya is a qualified mediator and uses this forum, where appropriate, for couples to navigate their separation together in a safe and harmonious way. Priya’s family mediation practice is an additional offering to Sheridans’ dispute resolution practice.

Priya is an Accredited Specialist member of Resolution and sits on Resolution’s Standards Committee. She also sits on Resolution’s Specialist Accreditation Committee, of which she is an Assessor.
