Ashley Churchman
Director
Ashley Churchman is a Director with A&M’s Disputes and Investigations practice in London. He brings 15 years of professional experience, working with clients across a range of countries and industries, including sport.
Mr Churchman’s recent experience includes:
- Reviewing the sustainability, ethics, and related policies of sport clubs and leagues as part of A&M’s strategic partnership with the Global Sustainability Benchmark in Sport;
- Assisting with the largest audit negligence claim in UK history;
- Helping to prepare an expert forensic accounting report in relation to a dispute involving investments in Ukraine, Georgia and other countries. This involved reviewing bank transactions, commercial agreements and documents supporting payments over a 9-year period;
- Performing a funds-tracing investigation involving the flow of approximately $350m through a complicated series of transactions over a number of years; and
- Assisting with the quantification of damages in a dispute regarding a multi-year, multi-billion dollar contract between an aircraft manufacturer and a state-owned airline.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr Churchman spent three years with Deloitte in their UK audit department. He field-managed audit engagements for a diverse range of clients from local businesses to multi-million pound global companies. Mr Churchman also spent a year in Deloitte’s forensic accounting department in Madrid.
Mr Churchman earned a bachelor's degree in Spanish from the University of Bristol. Mr Churchman is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (FCA), and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). He is a U.K. national and fluent in Spanish, having worked on projects in Spain, Chile, and Panama.
