"Bloodgate": the downfall of Dean Richards

Dean Richards, the ex England and British and Irish Lions Number 8 and former director of Rugby at Harlequins was yesterday given a three-year ban from coaching by a European Rugby Cup (“ERC”) independent appeals committee, because of his part in the “Bloodgate” affair that took place during Harlequins’ Heineken Cup quarter-final against Leinster on 12 April 2009.
