Tension is growing between sport and gambling organisations: These groups, at times interdependent and cooperative, are struggling to achieve a balanced financial relationship.
Sporting organisations are eager to demand revenue from gambling operators to fund legitimate objectives, such as tackling corruption and investment in grassroots sport. Gambling operators, meanwhile, are being forced to defend their revenues and rights against a fast-evolving array of threats.
