RUGBY LEAGUE ATHLETE RECEIVES SANCTION
Sport Integrity Australia acknowledges the decision of the QRL Anti-Doping Tribunal to sanction athlete Heath Wilson for the presence of a metabolite of a prohibited substance, the use of a prohibited substance, and tampering or attempted tampering with any part of Doping Control.
Mr Wilson returned an Adverse Analytical Finding (AAF) from an out-of-competition doping control test on 3 March 2020.
His sample detected the presence of Di-Hydroxy LGD-4033 (a metabolite of LGD-4033).
It was determined that on and/or before 3 March 2020 Mr Wilson used LGD-4033, which is prohibited in and out-of-competition under the S1 Class of Anabolic Agents.
It was also determined that on and/or between 18 May 2020 and 19 May 2020, Mr Wilson tampered or attempted to tamper with a part of Doping Control.
The QRL Anti-Doping Tribunal imposed a four-year ban on Mr Wilson commencing on 19 May 2020.
Mr Wilson is ineligible to participate in any sports that have adopted a World Anti-Doping Code compliant anti-doping policy until 19 May 2024.
