World Cup Hospitality – A Licence & Marketing Checklist For English & Welsh Stadia

This year’s FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 – which commences on 20 November and runs through to the final on 18 December 2022 – sees a unique break in the football calendar, with matches in the English Premier League suspended from the weekend of 12/13 November, until the resumption on 26 December 2022. Fixtures in the EFL Championship will also pause at the end of the weekend of 12/13 November, resuming again on Saturday 10 December
With supporters unable to come through the turnstiles for live games, clubs will no doubt want to look to the commercial opportunities that interest in the World Cup will present.
For clubs looking to show World Cup matches in their bars and hospitality suites, stadium operators should review their current alcohol licence permissions at the earliest opportunity to ensure that they are World Cup ready and allow time for any required changes
