By way of short update to the article entitled “Determining The Level Of Compensation For Out Of Contract Football Players”1 published on this platform in August 2021, we thought it helpful to highlight a couple of interesting cases which were heard by the Professional Football Compensation Committee (the PFCC) during the 2021-22 season:

  1. Transfer of Nathan Ferguson from West Bromwich Albion to Crystal Palace; and
  2. Luca Murphy’s move from Hartlepool United to Fulham FC
