FIFA Intellectual Property Rights Guidelines on the FIFA World Cup 2022®

The FIFA World Cup is the world’s largest single sport event and one of the most watched competitions worldwide. FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022® will be taking place from November 20 to December 18, 2022.

FIFA issued the so-called “FIFA Intellectual Property Guidelines” (Guidelines) to provide interested parties with information and instructions regarding FIFA's intellectual property and other commercial rights relating to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

In this article we will state how FIFA protects its rights over its trademarks, copyright, and/or other forms of intellectual property.
