Eligibility Cases From The Beijing Olympic Winter Games

The Court of Arbitration for Sport Ad Hoc Division has issued its first decisions at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games.  It has jurisdiction over disputes that arise during the Winter Olympics, including the 10 days prior to the Opening Ceremonies.

This article provides a summary of four recent eligibility decisions:

  1. Andrei Makhnev, Artem Shuldiakov & Russian Olympic Committee v. International Ski Federation (see here[1]).
  2. Megan Henry v. International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (see here[2]);
  3. Adam Edelman and Bobsleigh Skelton Israel v. International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation (see here[3])
  4. Irish Bobsleigh & Skeleton Association v. International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation (see here[4])
