An exciting opportunity has arisen for an aspiring lawyer to join the Legal and Governance department at Norwich City Football Club as a Paralegal. This is an excellent role for someone who is pursuing a career in law and who has an interest in the sports sector.
This role will be responsible for supporting the General Counsel in the management of the club’s legal and governance functions, across all aspects of the business.
Key tasks/responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support the General Counsel with legal and governance functions.
- Liaise with colleagues and external advisers to progress legal matters.
- Draft standard template contracts and assist with regular updates.
- Assist with commercial and regulatory disputes.
- Maintain contracts and policies/procedures databases.
- Coordinate with departments to ensure policies and procedures are current.
- Conduct legal and commercial research.
- Support other departments where required.
- Provide support for key governance meetings.
- Contribute to legal and governance-related projects.
- Provide administrative assistance to the General Counsel.
- To act in a manner that supports the Club’s expected behaviours of positivity, respect and togetherness.
Qualifications / Experience:
- A law degree or the GDL.
- Candidates who have completed the LPC or SQE are preferrable, but this is not a prerequisite.
- Legal experience is not essential, but we expect you to be actively pursuing a career in law and to have an interest in the sports sector.

- This role is anticipated to start in or around w/c 3 August 2026.
- This role is in-person based at Carrow Road, with no remote working.
- There is no available route to qualifying as a solicitor with the club.
- Applications from qualified solicitors will not be considered.
- Applicants based outside of the United Kingdom will not be considered.
