Paralegal, Norwich City FC (Carrow Road)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an aspiring lawyer to join the Legal and Governance department at Norwich City Football Club as a Paralegal, on a fixed term contract for 12 months. This is an excellent role for someone who is pursuing a career in law and who has an interest in the sports sector.   

This role will be responsible for supporting the Legal and Governance Director in the management of the club’s legal and governance functions, across all aspects of the business.

Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the Legal and Governance Director with legal and governance functions
  • Liaise with colleagues and external advisers to progress legal matters
  • Draft standard template contracts and assist with regular updates
  • Assist with commercial and regulatory dispute matters
  • Maintain contracts and policies/procedures databases
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure policies and procedures are current
  • Conduct legal and commercial research
  • Support preparation for board and other key meetings
  • Contribute to legal and governance-related projects
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Legal and Governance Director
  • To act in a manner that supports the Club’s Values of Growth, Integrity, Belonging, Resilience, Pride and Commitment

Qualifications / Experience:

  • A law degree or the GDL.
  • Candidates who have completed the LPC or SQE are preferrable, but this is not a pre-requisite.
  • Legal experience is not essential, but we expect you to be actively pursuing a career in law and to have an interest in the sports sector.

Candidates should be aware that this role is in-person, with no remote working. In addition, there is no available route to qualifying as a solicitor with the club.
