
Ben Sigler
Ben Sigler is an associate in Stephenson Harwood LLP's dispute resolution team where he provides advice primarily in relation to contentious and regulatory matters to clients across a broad range of sectors.
Along with Louis Flannery, Ben manages the firm's cross-departmental sports practice which encompasses specialist lawyers in the commercial, construction, corporate, employment, dispute resolution, finance, IP, insolvency/restructuring, real estate, and other areas, who have experience in advising on a gamut of issues related to the sector, including club acquisitions/disposals, player contracts (including Premiership footballers), stadium construction, financing arrangements, as well as a range of franchising, branding and sponsorship agreements. Members of the team have also helped a number of clubs and their creditors through troubled times acting in relation to some of UK football's most well-known insolvencies.
Ben is also a purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu training under Cesar Lima; as well as being versed in a broad range of other martial arts including Wushu (Fujian White Crane Style and Dog Style (which he studied in China)) and Muay Thai. He has been an avid aficionado of MMA since the sport's inception. He is also a keen footballer, cricketer, and cyclist.
