Kate Oliver

I am a Partner at HCR Law.

Regulatory investigations can seriously impact a company’s future and an individual’s liberty – I appreciate the emotional journey my clients go on when facing these investigations, and take a no-nonsense, practical approach to navigating complex investigations. With over 18 years’ experience at the coalface, I make sure to stay ahead of the regulators and deliver the best results for my clients.

I’ve worked with construction/engineering and manufacturing companies and housing developers, waste and recycling companies, sporting clubs, National Governing Bodies, individuals and business directors, and managers and companies facing investigation.

My specialisms include health and safety defence, general criminal defence and environmental investigations and defence. I also specialise in regulatory issues around driving, transport and logistics, inquests and public inquiries, assisting general counsel on in-house advice.

I also represent individuals when help is needed in interviews under caution and at police station. I am fully police station accredited to offer advice and assistance.

Outside work, when I’m not looking after my three young children, I play competitive netball and enjoy skiing. I thoroughly enjoy being outdoors – particularly if it involves gardening and sorting out my allotment.
