Gauthier Bouchat

Gauthier advises a wide range of Belgian and international clients on all aspects of sports law, including employment-related disputes, disciplinary proceedings and regulatory matters. He is an associate at ALTIUS.

Gauthier has worked for almost four years as a Legal Counsel for FIFA's Players’ Status Department, where he developed his special expertise in football employment-related matters and international transfer contracts.

Gauthier is also experienced in litigation and often represents clients concerning contractual and disciplinary procedures before sports judicial bodies, including FIFA, UEFA and CAF.

Furthermore, Gauthier recently assisted a client in a record-breaking transfer to Arsenal FC.

Gauthier is often asked to lecture on topics related to (inter)national sports law. Recently, he has lectured upon the request of the Université de Lille.
