Peter Wienand of Farrer & Co reviews the recent case of Football DataCo Limited and ors v Brittens Pools Limited and ors[1], the English and Scottish professional football leagues and two of their licensees brought proceedings against various defendants including Yahoo!, Stan James and Brittens Pools who had been publishing the English and Scottish league fixture lists on their websites without licence.
