1496/20 (Aranitovic v/ Basketball Club Partizan Belgrade)

FIBA

The Serbian Player Aleksandar Aranitovic filed a claim against the Serbian Club Basketball Club Partizan Belgrade for outstanding salaries and interest. The Claimant submitted that the Respondent breached the Contract by failing to pay four salary instalments.

In its Answer, the Respondent argued that the Claimant should not be entitled to outstanding salaries because he rejected three loan opportunities under the same financial conditions provided to him under the Contract and refused to work with the Respondent to find a solution after it was determined that he would not be part of the first team plans. The claim was upheld.
