The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has registered 3 additional appeals filed by Russian athletes against decisions taken by the Disciplinary Commission of the International Olympic Committee (IOC DC). The IOC DC found the athletes to have committed antidoping rule violations during the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games, disqualified them from the events in which they participated at the Games and forfeited all medals won by them. The athletes were also declared ineligible to participate in any capacity in all subsequent editions of the Olympic Games.

The athletes concerned are Olga Zaytseva (biathlon), Yulia Chekaleva (cross country skiing) and Anastasia Dotsenko (cross country skiing).

A CAS arbitration procedure has been opened for each athlete. Directions with respect to the next steps in these matters will be issued to the parties in a few days. The athletes have requested that the CAS issue its final awards before the beginning of the Olympic Winter Games 2018.
