Japanese sports industry, Rugby World Cup and Tokyo 2020 Games to be discussed at LawInSport Annual Conference
The LawInSport 4th Annual Conference taking place in two weeks is all set for its panel discussion on the Japanese sports industry. The expert panel will discuss the commercial and regulatory legal issues ahead of the Rugby World Cup 2019 and Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Japan has a thriving sports industry; the Nippon Professional Baseball reportedly turnovers of over $1b in revenue each year and is ranked in the top 10 professional sports leagues on revenue, the J League football league is ranked in the top 10 leagues on average club revenue (approx 33m per club). This is all before Japan hosts three mega sports events in the next few years that will booster the countries sports industry.
