Giambrone Law launches a Sports Law Department with hire of football specialist lawyer Desirée Bellia
Giambrone Law, the leading full-service Italian law firm, has launched a dedicated Sports Law department to offer a specialist legal advisory service for sports businesses and professionals.
The Department, which will be headed by Avvocato Riccardo Virga, has made its first specialist hire with the appointment to its London representative office of Avvocato Desirée Bellia, who joins the team from an in-house legal advisory role at Calcio Catania, the Serie A football club.
Desirée has extensive experience in sports law, advising on UEFA licensing, transfer of players, applications for Italian national player licensing and representing players and agents at arbitration tribunals.
Giambrone Law has built up significant expertise in sports law, providing contractual advice to sports celebrities, and recently acting as legal representatives in a co-sponsoring deal between Palermo Football Club and Italiacom S.p.A.
