AESF

The Asian Electronic Sports Federation (AESF) is proud to announce the latest addition to our family, Kazakhstan's Qazaq Cybersport Federation.

Founded at the end of 2017 by a group of professionals and Esports fans, the Qazaq Cybersport Federation aims for systemic and long-term development of this scene for everyone in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

A non-profit organization responsible for the development of Esports in Kazakhstan, the Qazaq Cybersport Federation will be heavily involved in organizing international Esports competitions, as well as the training of Esports athletes, referees and coaches.

On 25 June 2018, by order of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Esports received official recognition as a sport in the country. The most popular games in Kazakhstan include CS: GO, Dota 2, PUBG, PUBG Mobile, Fortnite, FIFA 20, StarCraft II and League of Legends so it is safe to assume we could expect a boom of high-level teams and contestants from this Central Asia country.

In an official statement, Qazaq Cybersport Federation President Kuanyshbek Yessekeyev expressed his excitement in joining the AESF:

“The whole team of our federation is very excited to be part of AESF. I believe that through joint efforts, we will be able to raise Esports in the Asian region to an even higher level and sincerely hope that our cooperation will be effective and fruitful for both parties”.
