Michel Platini files an appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS)

2 March 2016 – Michel Platini has filed an appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) against the decision issued by the FIFA Appeal Committee on 24 February 2016.
In appealing to the CAS, Michel Platini seeks to annul the decisions taken by the Adjudicatory Chamber of the FIFA Ethics Committee and by the FIFA Appeal Committee which lead to him being declared ineligible to take part in football-related activity at national and international level for six years.
A CAS arbitration procedure is in progress. First, the parties will exchange written submissions and a panel of three arbitrators will be constituted. The Panel will then issue directions with respect to the holding of a hearing. Following the hearing, the Panel will deliberate and on a later date, it will issue a decision in the form of an Arbitral Award.

2 mars 2016 – Michel Platini a déposé un appel auprès du Tribunal Arbitral du Sport (TAS) contre la décision rendue par la Commission de recours de la FIFA le 24 février 2016.
En faisant appel au TAS, Michel Platini cherche à obtenir l’annulation des décisions prises par la Chambre de jugement de la Commission d’éthique de la FIFA et par la Commission de recours de la FIFA le suspendant de toute activité liée au football au niveau national et international pendant six ans.
Une procédure d’arbitrage est en cours au TAS. Premièrement, les parties échangeront des mémoires écrits et une Formation de trois arbitres sera constituée. La Formation arbitrale organisera ensuite la tenue d’une audience. Après l’audience, la Formation arbitrale délibérera et rendra une décision sous forme d’une sentence arbitrale à une date ultérieure.
