The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) announced today that Vahid Lotfi, a powerlifting athlete, received a four-year sanction for an anti-doping rule violation. The athlete’s urine sample, collected during in-competition doping control on February 11, 2018, revealed the presence of testosterone
In response to the CCES’s notification of the adverse analytical finding, Mr. Lotfi admitted the violation in a timely fashion (in accordance with Canadian Anti-Doping Program (CADP) rule 10.11.2), waived his right to a hearing and accepted the proposed sanction of four years ineligibility from sport, which terminates on February 10, 2022. The athlete, who resides in Vancouver, BC, is ineligible to participate in any capacity with any sport signatory to the CADP, including training with teammates, during the sanction period.

Un athlète de dynamophilie suspendu pour la présence de testostérone et nandrolone
Le Centre canadien pour l’éthique dans le sport (CCES) vient d’annoncer que Vahid Lotfi, un athlète de dynamophilie, s’est vu imposer une suspension de quatre ans pour une violation des règles antidopage. Cette violation a été découverte par l’analyse d’un échantillon d’urine recueilli durant un contrôle de dopage en compétition réalisé le 11 février 2018, qui a révélé la présence de testostérone et nandrolone, des agents anabolisants interdits.
En réponse à l’avis du CCES concernant ce résultat d’analyse anormal, M. Lotfi a promptement avoué la violation (conformément à la règle 10.11.2 du Programme canadien antidopage (PCA)), a renoncé à son droit à une audience et a accepté une suspension de quatre ans, qui prend fin le 10 février 2022. Durant cette période, il est interdit à cet athlète, qui réside à Vancouver en Colombie Britannique, de participer, peu importe à quel titre, à tout sport organisé signataire du PCA, y compris de s’entraîner avec ses coéquipiers.
