RFU Disciplinary: Gill, Horwill & Ward Hearing

Following the weekend’s Aviva Premiership fixture between Harlequins and Saracens, disciplinary hearings were held this evening for Saracens players Rhys Gill and James Horwill and Dave Ward from Harlequins.
Gill pleaded guilty to the charge of dangerous tackling contrary to Law 10.4(J). He received a three-week suspension and ordered to pay £500 towards the hearing costs. He is free to play again on February 2nd.
Ward pleaded not guilty to the charge of acts contrary to good sportsmanship, contrary to Law 10.4(m). The citing was dismissed and he is free to play with immediate effect.
Horwill pleaded not guilty to the charge of punching or striking, contrary to Law 10.4(a). The citing was dismissed and he is free to play with immediate effect.
