The CAS Anti-Doping Division issues decisions in the cases of Gabriel Sincraian (ROM/Weightlifting -85kg) and Misha Aloi (RUS/Boxing -52KG)

8 December 2016 - The Anti-Doping Division of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS ADD) has issued decisions in two cases related to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games:
Romanian weightlifter Gabriel Sincraian is found to have committed an anti-doping rule violation after testing positive for exogenous Testosterone, a non-specified substance prohibited under S1.1b on the WADA prohibited list, during an in-competition doping control on 12 August 2016.
All results obtained by Gabriel Sincraian in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, including the bronze medal in the Men’s Weightlifting 85kg event, are disqualified.
Russian boxer Misha Aloian is found to have committed an anti-doping rule violation after testing positive for Tuaminoheptane, a specified stimulant, prohibited in-competition under S6 on the WADA Prohibited List, during an in-competition doping control on 21 August 2016.
The results obtained by the athlete in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, including the silver medal obtained in the Men’s -52kg boxing event on 21 August 2016, are disqualified.
