U.S. Weightlifting Athlete Morgan Millican Accepts Sanction for Anti-Doping Rule Violation

USADA announced today that Morgan Millican, of Acworth, Ga., an athlete in the sport of weightlifting, has accepted a two-year sanction after testing positive for a prohibited substance.
Millican, 27, tested positive for clomiphene and its metabolite, 4-hydroxyclomiphene, as the result of an in-competition urine sample she provided at the American Open Series 1 on March 5, 2020. Clomiphene is a Specified Substance in the class of Hormone and Metabolic Modulators and is prohibited at all times under the USADA Protocol for Olympic and Paralympic Movement Testing, the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee National Anti-Doping Policy, and the International Weightlifting Federation Anti-Doping Policy, all of which have adopted the World Anti-Doping Code and the World Anti-Doping Agency Prohibited List.
Millican’s two-year period of ineligibility began on March 5, 2020, the date her positive sample was collected. In addition, Millican has been disqualified from competitive results obtained on and subsequent to March 5, 2020, including forfeiture of any medals, points and prizes.
