UCI and WADA terminate CAS case concerning Roman Kreuziger

Based on the availability of newly obtained information, the World Anti-doping Agency (WADA) and the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) have come to the conclusion that, in accordance with the applicable UCI anti-doping rules and WADA Athlete Biological Passport operating guidelines, there is at this stage no basis to proceed further.

They have therefore decided to withdraw their appeals.

The ABP is managed by the independent Athlete Passport Management Unit (APMU) in Lausanne and ABP cases are prosecuted based on the opinion of an independent Expert Panel.

Consistent with the approach taken during this entire case and in light of the confidential nature of the information concerned, the UCI and WADA are not in a position to comment further.

Sur la base d’informations nouvellement obtenues, l’Agence Mondiale Antidopage (AMA) et l’Union

Cycliste Internationale (UCI) sont parvenues à la conclusion que, conformément aux Règles antidopage applicables de l’UCI et aux lignes directrices opérationnelles pour le passeport biologique de l’athlète de l’AMA, il n’y a plus de raison à ce stade de poursuivre la procédure.

L’AMA et l’UCI ont par conséquent décidé de retirer leurs recours.

Le PBA est géré par l’Unité de gestion du Passeport Biologique de l’Athlète (APMU) à Lausanne, et les cas liés au PBA sont instruits sur la base de l’avis d’un groupe d’experts indépendants.

Conformément à l’approche adoptée durant cette procédure et au vu de la nature confidentielle des informations en question, l’UCI et l’AMA ne sont pas en mesure de faire d’autres commentaires.
