ASADA Media Statement - lifetime ban - Stephen Dank

The Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA) notes and welcomes the lifetime period of ineligibility imposed on former Essendon support person, Stephen Dank by the AFL Anti-Doping Tribunal.

ASADA Chief Executive Officer, Ben McDevitt has said previously that Mr Dank should never be allowed near any sporting venue or any athlete anywhere in the world, ever.
 

"This ruling by the AFL Anti-Doping Tribunal has confirmed my view."

"Other serious alleged violations involving Mr Dank and current and former Essendon players are currently being pursued before the Court of Arbitration for Sport via appeals initiated by the World Anti-Doping Agency," said Mr McDevitt.
